Hong Kong Airlines is celebrating the launch of service to Phuket, with the inaugural flight taking to the skies on Wednesday, June 21st. The route will now operate four times weekly with departures from Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
On Thursday (June 22, 2023), Hong Kong Airlines announced the launch of service between Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Phuket International Airport (MKT) in Thailand. The inaugural flight (HX741) took off on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 following a celebration officiated by the airline’s President, Mr. Jeff Sun, together with airport representatives and the director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ms. Naparat Vudhivad. Guests on the inaugural flight were also presented with special souvenirs at the boarding gate. The route will now operate four times weekly with departures from Hong Kong on Mondays, Wendesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Speaking at Wednesday’s launch celebration, Hong Kong Airlines’ President, Mr. Jeff Sun, said,
“As the largest island in Thailand, Phuket is widely regarded as one of the most enduring holiday hotspots. We are thrilled to add this vacation paradise to our expanding regional network, allowing more connection services and convenient travel options. Hong Kong Airlines aspires to become the airline of choice for both Thai and international travellers seeking to travel between Hong Kong and Thailand. We are working diligently to expedite our network recovery, which will soon consist of over 20 destinations across the Asia Pacific region.”
