On Wednesday (January 24, 2024), Helvetic Airways announced that their first summer 2024 flights from Zurich and Bern are now available for booking.  From Zurich, the carrier will offer once weekly direct service as early as February to Hurghada, while flights to Heraklion (Crete) and Larnaca (Cyprus) will operate once weekly on Saturdays from April until the end of October.  From mid-July, Helvetic will also offer once weekly flights to Kos on Saturdays, which will operate until the end of October.

New for summer 2024, Helvetic will launch nonstop service between Bern and the popular Tunisian leisure destination of Djerba, which will operate once weekly on Fridays from the beginning of June until mid-October 2024.  Once again, the Greek islands will be prominent in Bern’s summer 2024 schedule, with two weekly flights to Heraklion on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and one weekly flights to both Kos and Rhodes, on Mondays and Sundays, respectively.  Flights between Bern and Larnaca will operate once weekly on Saturdays, while Helvetic will fly two times per week to Mallorca on Thursdays and Sundays.

For the summer 2024 season, Helvetic Airways will station one of their Embraer aircraft at Bern Airport, along with the related cockpit, cabin and maintenance personnel.  Flights are now bookable on the airline’s website, or via Helvetic’s partners Hotelplan Suisse, TUI Suisse and Universal Reisen.

Swiss regional airline Helvetic Airways provides a range of short and medium-haul routes from various Swiss airports with scheduled, charter and wet-lease flights.  During winter 2023/24, at least six Helvetic Airways’ Embraer E190-E2s and E195-E2s will be operated on Swiss International Air Lines under a long-term wet-lease agreement.  Helvetic Airways employs over 510 team members, and also operates their own MRO facility at Zurich Airport, also home to their future corporate head office.  Since 2008, Helvetic Airways has worked closely with Horizon Swiss Flight Academy AG, which is based in Kloten, Switzerland.  Both companies are part of the Helvetic Airways Group, which is domiciled in Freienbach, Switzerland.
