Global Airlines Selects Factorydesign as Cabin Design Partner

On Wednesday (December 20, 2023), Global Airlines announced the selection of West London based Factorydesign, a firm with over 27 years of airline interior design experience, as their cabin design partner.  Factorydesign has worked on several iconic projects such as British Airways’ Concorde seat and cabin design, as well as Etihad Airways’ A380 ‘Residence’ product.  The design partnership covers all cabins and spaces, including seats, galleys, toilets and onboard social space innovations.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Factorydesign’s Owner and Partner, Adam White, said,

“There are very few projects like this in aviation. It’s a unique opportunity for me and the team to get our creative juices flowing and deliver a new, exciting A380 experience for passengers.  Onboard is a huge part of any trip and I want passengers to be excited to fly, and that’s what we’re committed to delivering for Global.  And given the scale of the aircraft, and the brief from the airline, we can genuinely innovate from both experiential and hard product perspectives.”

Also commenting on the new design partnership, Global Airlines’ Founder and CEO, James Asquith, added,

“The UK is a leader in aircraft interior designs, and it speaks volumes for the progress we are making that Adam and the team at Factorydesign are now officially onboard with us driving the innovation we are all excited to see on our aircraft.  They have worked on some of the most exciting projects in the industry over the past three decades, developing products that passengers all over the world, including me and many of our Global team members, admire and love.  The team at Factory is totally bought into our desire to deliver a better product for passengers, and I am really excited to reveal all of the designs, across all cabins, in the coming months.”

As previously announced, JETMS has been selected to bring to life the designs of Factorydesign beginning work on the first Airbus A380 in early 2024.  Global Airlines and Factorydesign will soon commission a concept First Suite, which will be revealed throughout 2024.

Launched in 2023, London-based Global Airlines is dedicated to offering guests the best flying experience.  The carrier is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Holiday Swap Group and is led by Founder and CEO, James Asquith, and a growing team of aviation industry experts.  Global has commenced their aircraft acquisition program, and has already secured four Airbus A380 super jumbo jets.
