GIC International Catering Adds Air China to Expanding Client Portfolio

GIC International Catering has today announced the addition of Air China as their latest culinary partner.  GIC is now exclusively responsible for the catering on Air China’s direct connection between Frankfurt and Chengdu.

GIC International Catering Welcomes China Airlines as Newest Culinary Partner

On Monday (September 15, 2025), GIC International Catering announced that Air China, China’s largest carrier, has become their latest culinary partner.  Since mid-September 2025, GIC has been exclusively responsible for the catering on Air China’s direct connection from Frankfurt to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.  Currently, GIC International, a specialist for bespoke onboard catering at Frankfurt Airport, produces up to 5,000 meals daily for 22 airlines.  This year, the family-owned Kelsterbach, Germany based catering company is celebrating their 25th anniversary. 

In Thursday’s announcement, GIC International Catering’s CEO, Göksel Yildirim, said,

With this new partnership, Air China's guests can look forward to carefully prepared meals that combine European influences with authentic flavors from Chinese cuisine.  Several examples include tender beef fillet with roasted potato cubes, buttered snow peas, and thyme demi-glace, or aromatic Kung Pao chicken with crisp vegetables and rice.  As always, GIC places particular emphasis on quality, freshness, and an appealing presentation of the dishes, which allows for moments of enjoyment in every service class.
