Frontier Airlines Starts New Service Between St. Louis and Tampa, Florida

Frontier Airlines has today started new service between St. Louis, Missouri and Tampa, Florida. With the new route, the carrier now offers direct service from St. Louis to seven destinations, and from Tampa to 18 nonstop destinations.

On Wednesday (November 16, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced the start of new nonstop service between St, Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) in Missouri and Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida. The route will operate four times weekly with introductory one-way fares from $49. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on November 20, 2022, for travel on select days through February 28, 2023. Blackout dates include Nov. 23, 27, 2022, Dec. 22-23, 26-27, 30, 2022, Jan. 2-3, 2023, and Feb. 13, 20, 2023. A three-day advance purchase is required, but round trip travel is not. With the new service, Frontier now offers direct service from St. Louis to seven destinations, and 18 nonstop destinations from Tampa.


In today’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ SVP – Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,


“As temperatures in the Midwest plunge, now is the time to take advantage of ‘Low Fares Done Right’ for some sunny Florida weather. We’re proud of our partnerships with STL and TPA that serve to provide affordable, convenient travel options for those in the greater St. Louis and Tampa Bay areas.”


Also commenting on the new route, St; Louis Lambert International Airport’s Director, Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, said,


“We are always pleased to announce new flights as well as new destinations. We congratulate Frontier Airlines on bringing new service to Tampa and know warm markets are always important to our passengers. We look forward to this added service and thank Frontier Airlines for their growing partnership.”


Tampa International Airport’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Christopher Minner, added,


“We’re thrilled to begin this nonstop service to the Gateway to the West with such a great partner airline. This new route is only the latest example of how Frontier and Tampa International Airport continue to benefit from growing together over the years.”
