Frontier Airlines has launched new service between Orlando and Aguadilla with three to four weekly flights. The new service marks the carrier’s 13th route serving Puerto Rico from destinations in the U.S. and Caribbean.
On Thursday (March 24, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of new service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Rafael Hernandez International Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (BQN). The new route will operate three to four times weekly, and marks Frontier’s 13th route to Puerto Rico from destinations in the U.S. and Caribbean. Celebrating the new service to Aguadilla, the carrier is offering introductory one-way fares from $69. To qualify for the low fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on March 28, 2022, for travel through May 24, 2022 (a roundtrip purchase is not required). At Thursday’s event in Aguadilla, Frontier also announced that the coquí llanero, a tiny, endangered tree frog in Puerto Rico was the winner of the carrier’s ‘Tropical Tails’ contest, and will soon adorn the tail of one of Frontier’s aircraft.
Speaking at Thursday’s event in Aguadilla, Frontier Airlines’ International Sales Manager, Alfredo Gonzalez, said,

Our new service to Aguadilla further bolsters our growing commitment to Puerto Rico. As the top consumer vote-getter in the contest, the coquí will be featured on an upcoming Frontier plane tail furthering our mission to highlight the plight of endangered species.”
