Frontier Airlines launched service from New castle Airport in Delaware on Thursday with inaugural nonstop service to Orlando. The carrier also added service from Phoenix to Sacramento and Ontario, California, as well as between Ontario and Las Vegas and Phoenix.

On Thursday (February 11, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of service from New Castle Airport (ILG) in Delaware with inaugural service to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The route will be operated three times weekly and the carrier is offering introductory fares starting at only $19. In Thursday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Schurz, said,
“We’re overjoyed to begin service at New Castle Airport with nonstop flights to Orlando and return commercial air service to Delaware. Air service is an economic driver for communities and Frontier is committed to providing ‘Low Fares Done Right’ to local flyers. We’re delighted to welcome Wilmington area travelers onboard and look forward to continuing our incredibly valuable partnership with the Delaware River and Bay Authority.”
In a separate press release, the airline announced the launch of two new routes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF), both in California. To celebrate the launch of the new routes, Frontier is offering fares from only $29. Further speaking on the new Phoenix routes, Daniel Schurz, added,
“We’re excited to expand at Phoenix Sky Harbor with new nonstop flights to two highly requested California destinations; Ontario and Sacramento. Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right’ offer an affordable and convenient alternative to driving and, like all Frontier service, these new flights will adhere to our highest health standards, including required mask wearing, temperature screenings and enhanced cleaning.”
Finally, Frontier Airlines further announced on Thursday (February 11, 2021), the launch of new service between Ontario International Airport (ONT) in California and both Las Vegas (LAS) and Phoenix (PHX). Celebrating the launch of the new routes from Ontario, the carrier is offering fares on the new route starting at only $29. Commenting on the new routes from Ontario, Frontier’s VP – Commercial, Daniel Shurz, stated,
“We’re delighted to expand once more in Southern California with nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix. Frontier’s affordable service is a faster alternative to driving from the Los Angeles area to Las Vegas and Phoenix and will give travelers more time to spend at their destination. Like all Frontier service, these new flights will adhere to our highest health standards, including required mask wearing, temperature screenings and enhanced onboard cleaning.”
