On Wednesday (May 5, 2021), flynas, the Saudi national carrier, announced their summer 2021 schedule with service to 12 global destinations. The release of the schedule coincides with the announcement that the ban on international travel for citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be lifted on May 17th, 2021. The carrier’s summer 2021 schedule will include service to Salzburg, Kyiv, Tashkent, Tirana, Hurghada, Salalah, Vienna, Sarajevo, Baku, Tbilisi, Batumi and Sharm El Sheikh.

In Wednesday’s announcement, flynas’ CEO, Mr. Bandar AlMohanna, said,

“flynas is launching exciting routes this summer to around 12 global destinations in a step that will add value to our offerings and enhance our year-round network of flights. Our seasonal destinations include Salzburg, Kiev, Tashkent, Tirana, Hurghada, Salalah, Vienna, Sarajevo, Baku, Tbilisi, Batumi, and Sharm El Sheikh. Following the remarkable success of flynas’ summer destinations during past seasons in 2018 and 2019, we have decided to continue growing our flight network by adding new direct flights that support our expansion strategy and open new connections to destinations that do not have a current air route with Saudi Arabia.”

The carrier operates over 1,200 weekly flights to 35 domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 30 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. Since its founding, flynas has carried over 38 million passengers from its bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha. flynas received the prestigious Skytrax award for ‘Middle East’s Best Low-Cost Airline’ in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
