flydubai to Launch Daily Service Between Dubai and Cairo Starting October 28, 2023

flydubai will start daily service between Dubai and Cairo from October 28, 2023. In total, the carrier will offer 17 weekly flights to two destinations in Egypt, including Alexandria and Cairo.

On Thursday (September 7, 2023), flydubai announced the launch of daily service between Dubai (DXB) and Cairo (SPX) from October 28, 2023, expanding their offer to Egypt to 17 weekly flights to two destinations, including Alexandria and Cairo. With the latest addition of Mombasa and Cairo, flydubai’s Africa network now includes 12 destinations. Return Business Class fares between DXB and SPX start from AED 5,500 (US $1,498) and Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 1,250 (US $340).


In Thursday’s announcement, flydubai’s Chief Commercial Officer, Hamad Obaidalla, said,


“We are pleased to announce the start of operations to Cairo from October. flydubai is committed to creating free flows of trade and tourism between countries and enabling more people to travel conveniently and more often. I would like to thank the authorities for their support in launching operations to Cairo’s Sphinx International Airport, and we look forward to growing the traffic on this new entry point to the city over the years.”

Since commencing operations in 2009, flydubai has grown their network to over 115 destinations across 53 countries in Africa, Central Asia, the Caucuses, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. The carrier has opened more than 70 new routes that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE carrier. flydubai operates a single fleet type of 79 Boeing airplanes, including 30 Boeing 737-800NGs, 46 Boeing 737-8 MAX, and three Boeing 737-9 MAX airplanes.
