flydubai Launches New Direct Service Between Dubai and Vilnius

flydubai has celebrated the launch of new nonstop service between Dubai and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The route will n ow operate three times weekly with a Boeing 737 airplane.

On Friday (December 12, 2025), flydubai announced the launch of their inaugural service between Dubai and Vilnius, Lithuania. The Dubai-based airline is now the first UAE carrier to operate direct service to Vilnius with a three weekly flights. With the addition of Vilnius, flydubai expands their network to over 135 destinations in 58 countries. Inbound customers to Dubai can also enjoy world-class attractions and one-stop connectivity to destinations across flydubai’s network, including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand.
In Friday’s announcement, flydubai’s Divisional Senior Vice President, Jeyhun Efendi, said,
“The launch of our flights to Vilnius underscores flydubai’s commitment to expanding direct connectivity to underserved markets. These new flights will play an important role in stimulating tourism and trade flows between the UAE and Lithuania, offering passengers more convenient travel options and opening new opportunities for businesses and visitors in both countries. We look forward to seeing the route gain popularity with our customers and we thank the airport and local authorities for their support and warm welcome to the market.”

The new Vilnius service is offered as part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, enabling passengers to benefit from smoother itineraries, a single ticket, through check-in of baggage and access to an extensive combined network of more than 240 destinations worldwide. Flights from Terminal 3, Dubai International (DXB) will operate three times a week to Vilnius International Airport (VNO).

flydubai serves over 135 destinations in 58 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia. Since starting operations in June 2009, flydubai has opened more than 100 new routes that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE national carrier from Dubai. The carrier currently operates a single fleet-type of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft, including 27 Boeing 737-800NGs, 63 Boeing 737-8 MAX and three Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft.
