On Wednesday (September 13, 2023), Flair Airlines announced the launch of new service between Calgary International Airport and Cancun for the winter 2023/24 season. Starting December 17, 2023, Flair will offer three weekly flights on the route. Introductory one-way fares are now available for booking form CAD $129, including taxes and fees.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Flair Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Garth Lund, said,

“We know Cancun is loved by Calgarians, and we can get there more affordably than anyone else in the market. This means more money in the pockets of Calgarians as they soak up the Mexican sun. This marks the ninth city that Flair is linking to Cancun, and we’ve seen strong demand across our network for this exciting destination. We’re confident this offer will be popular in the cold winter months as Canadians look to escape the ice and snow.”

Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) and the company’s mission is to make travel accessible and affordable for all Canadians. The airline operates a growing fleet of Next Generation Boeing 737-800s and 737-8s, and is growing to serve over 35 destinations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Jamaica. The airline plans on growing their fleet to 50 aircraft by 2025.
