Flair Airlines Launches Inaugural Service Between Toronto and New York

Flair Airlines has started new service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and New York-JFK, with the inaugural flight departing on Thursday, April 7, 2022. The route will be operated twice weekly, increasing to three times weekly from May 16, 2022.

On Thursday (April 7, 2022), Flair Airlines announced the launch of inaugural service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The carrier will operate the week twice weekly, expanding to three times per week from May 16, 2022. New York is Flair’s latest U.S. destination introduced this year, joining previously announced service to Nashville, San Francisco, Anchorage, Chicago and Tucson. By the end of 2022, the airline will have an operating fleet of 20 aircraft, as Flair expands their network across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. One-way fares between Toronto and New York are available from CAD $94.


In Thursday’s announcment, Flair Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Garth Lund, said,

This new destination is an exciting and important step forward for us as we continue to expand into the U.S. We’re thrilled to connect Canadians to the hustle and bustle of New York City. We’re also happy to offer an affordable option for New Yorkers to visit Toronto and beyond with our low fares, starting at $94.”


Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) and the company’s mission is to make travel accessible and affordable for all Canadians. The airline operates a growing fleet of Next Generation Boeing 737-800s and 737-8s, and will serve over 30 Canadian, U.S. and Mexican destinations by spring 2022. The airline plans on growing their fleet to 50 aircraft by 2025.
