Flair Airlines has established a long-term partnership with the Tucson, Arizona to connect underserved Canadian communities with affordable, direct, winter flights to the sunny destination. Flair will overnight an aircraft in Tucson next winter and is launching five routes.
On Tuesday (March 29, 2022), Flair Airlines announced the establishment of a new partnership with Tucson, Arizona to provide more affordable, nonstop, winter connectivity from underserved Canadian communities to the warm and sunny destination. Next winter, Flair will overnight an aircraft in Tucson and has today opened sales on flights to Tucson from Edmonton International Airport, Fort McMurray International Airport, Lethbridge Airport, Prince George Airport, and Windsor International Airport.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Flair Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Garth Lund, said,
“Basing winter operations in Tucson, Arizona offers an exciting new option for Canadians. We know that Canadians in communities across the country will be keen to soak up the winter sun in Tucson. With consistent service for years to come, we think this is the beginning of an excellent yearly tradition for Canadians. For too long, many communities in Canada have been without service to warm weather destinations. Flair is looking forward to stimulating new demand with our everyday low fares.”
Also commenting on the partnership, Tucson Airport Authority’s President and CEO, Danette Bewley, said,
“We are excited about the many benefits to our community through this relationship with Flair. Not only have we found a way to achieve a long-time goal of adding nonstop flights to and from Canada, TUS will be the only Arizona – or U.S., for that matter – destination from four of those airports. We look forward to welcoming and introducing Canadians to our beautiful region.”
Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) and the company’s mission is to make travel accessible and affordable for all Canadians. The airline operates a growing fleet of Next Generation Boeing 737-800s and 737-8s, and will serve over 30 Canadian, U.S. and Mexican destinations by spring 2022. The airline plans on growing their fleet to 50 aircraft by 2025
