Finnair to Launch Weekly Service Between Helsinki and Guangzhou From September 6, 2022

Starting September 6, 2022, Finnair will launch weekly service between Helsinki and Guangzhou, China. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and the route will be serviced with an Airbus A350. Tickets are now available for booking across all sales channels.

On Monday (August 1, 2022), Finnair announced the launch of weekly service on Tuesdays between Helsinki (HEL) and Guangzhou (CAN) in China starting September 6, 2022. The route will be operated with a state-of-the-art Airbus A350. Tickets are now available for booking across all sales channels. The new Guangzhou service offers seamless connectivity to a range of Finnair’s European destinations with transfer testing, as required by the Chinese authorities, which are available at Helsinki Airport for passengers traveling to Guangzhou.


In Monday’s announcment, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ole Orvér, said,


“We are excited to return to Guangzhou and look forward to gradually increasing our offering for the Chinese market.”


Finnair also offers weekly service to Shanghai. Finnair’s winter 2022/23 season network includes around 70 European destinations. Helsinki Airport has recently been renovated and is now more spacious, and offers a better and more convenient transfer experience.
