Eurowings to Adopt Lufthansa Group’s Miles & More Loyalty Program From July 2022

Eurowings will discontinue their Eurowings Boomerang Club loyalty program on June 30th and replace it with the Lufthansa Group’s Miles & More program starting July 1st, 2022. Members can collect and redeem miles with around 40 airlines, 500 online stores and more.

On Tuesday (May 3, 2022), Eurowings announced that they will replace their existing Eurowings Boomerang Club loyalty program exclusively with the Lufthansa Group’s benefit-rich Miles & More frequent flyer and award program effective July 1st, 2022. Boomerang members can continue to earn miles on all Eurowings fights and with program partners until June 30, 2022, with earned miles redeemable for up to 12 months. From July 1st, Boomerang Club Miles can also be converted to Miles & More award miles. Eurowings credit cards from Barclays will remain valid and active, and cardholders can continue to earn Boomerang miles for purchases until June 23, 2022.

In today’s announcement, Eurowings’ CEO, Jens Bischof, said,

“Eurowings continues to stand for affordable flying, but with a stronger emphasis on ‘value’. By upgrading our customers to the Miles & More world, we are not only offering an attractive loyalty program, but also another clear differentiation from the field of low-cost competitors.”

Starting in July, Eurowings customers will benefit from the attractive Miles & More program, which offers numerous awards and benefits generally not available to LCC customers, including the ability to earn and redeem miles on over 40 airline partners, over 150 other partners, and more than 500 online stores. When shopping with online store partners, customers will earn one award mile or more for every euro spent. Miles can also be donated to ‘alliance’, the Group’s charitable aid organization. Price-conscious Miles & More members can also benefit from mileage bargains and early booking offers like the ‘Early Bird’ flight award when planning travel.

From July 1st, Eurowings customers can redeem Miles & More miles for flights and hotel and car rental bookings, or for over 3,500 attractive awards at worldshop.eu, in categories such as luggage, electronics, wine and more.
