On Wednesday (September 14, 2022), the Lufthansa Group announced an expansion of management roles at Edelweiss and Eurowings Discover, as the Group increases their leisure market offering. Edelweiss has vast, decades-long experience in the tourism sector and is the leading Swiss leisure airline based at Zurich Airport. Together, Eurowings Discover and Edelweiss will focus on short, medium and long-haul tourist destinations, complementing the Group’s network airlines’ offerings. With Edelweiss based at the SWISS hub in Zurich and Eurowings Discover operating from Frankfurt and Munich, the leisure carriers offer customers expanded choices when booking travel to popular tourist destinations.
