On Wednesday (July 30, 2025), Etihad Airways announced that July 2025 has been then busiest month for airplane deliveries in the company’s 22-year history.  This month, Etihad took delivery of five aircraft, including two Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and Airbus A350-1000, an A321LR, and an A320ceo.  This fleet expansion will support the airline’s ambitious network growth strategy, and goal of carrying 38 million passengers by 2030.  Etihad's fleet expansion program will continue beyond July, with 20 additional aircraft annually expected for delivery throughout 2025 and 2026.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, said,

“July has been a remarkable month for Etihad Airways.  Taking delivery of five aircraft is our most intensive delivery programme to date and showcases our ambitious growth trajectory. These aircraft will enable us to serve more destinations, offer increased frequencies, and deliver the exceptional experiences our guests expect across our network.”

Etihad's new Boeing 787 Dreamliners will support long-haul operations to destinations across Asia, Australia, and North America, while the Airbus A350-1000 will enhance capacity on high-demand routes.  The airline's first-ever Airbus A321LR features a revolutionary cabin configuration with dedicated First Suites alongside lie-flat Business seats, a first for narrowbody aircraft in the region, and enhanced Economy seating with seatback entertainment.  With these deliveries, Etihad's fleet has expanded to106 aircraft, with an average aircraft age of 8.7 years.
