Etihad Airways launched their inaugural flight between Abu Dhabi and Al Qassim on Monday (June 24th), their fourth destination in Saudi Arabia. Flights will operate four times weekly with an Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
On Monday (June 24, 2024), Etihad Airways celebrated the launch of their inaugural flight between Abu Dhabi and Qassim, their fourth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The inaugural flight marks Etihad’s 20th anniversary of connecting Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia, and is the first ever route connecting the two cities directly. Flights will now operate four times per week with an Airbus A320 Family aircraft, featuring Business Class and Economy cabins. Inbound customers to Abu Dhabi will also enjoy seamless one-stop connectivity to Etihad Airways’ extensive network.
In Monday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, said,
“As we celebrate the newest addition to our growing global network, we also reaffirm our commitment to the Saudi market as we mark 20 years of connecting Abu Dhabi with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With the increasing demand for air travel to the promising business and tourism market in KSA, we are excited to launch flights to Al Qassim, a significant cultural and commercial center.
“By establishing this air link, we aim to meet the increasing demand and provide our guests with convenient access to Abu Dhabi and seamless connectivity to our extensive global network, while delivering a remarkable flying experience.”
Flights to/from Al Qassim are now bookable via the carrier’s website, mobile app and Etihad Airways Contact Centers or through travel agents.
