Etihad Airways’ flagship Airbus A380 debuted on the route between Abu Dhabi and Singapore for the first time on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The aircraft features The Residence and award-winning cabins, and will add over 700 seats on the route weekly.

On Monday (February 3, 2025), Etihad Airways announced the launch of first-ever Airbus A380 service between Abu Dhabi and Singapore Changi Airport, with the double-decker aircraft arriving on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The super-jumbo aircraft brings Etihad’s signature inflight features to the route, including ‘The Residence’, the world’s only three-room onboard suite. The upper deck of the aircraft also features ‘The Lobby’, an exclusive lounge for First and Business Class guests. Etihad’s A380 increases capacity on the Abu Dhabi-Singapore route by 28 percent, offering 486 seats, including The Residence, nine First Class Apartments, 70 Business Studios, and 405 Economy Smart seats.
In Monday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, said.

The decision to deploy our much-loved A380 boosts our travel offering between Abu Dhabi and Singapore and highlights our resolve to go beyond by delivering fantastic travel experiences across Etihad’s growing global network.
“Bringing the A380 to Singapore, along with our broader network expansion plans - including increased frequency on key routes - demonstrates our strong growth momentum in Asia. This added capacity reflects the growing demand we're seeing for travel to and from Singapore.”
