Etihad Airways announced on Tuesday the introduction of a new MicrobeBARRIER facemask for First and Business Class guests. The innovative and stylish protective wear’s fabric has received a broad spectrum antimicrobial treatment to reduce the presence of germs.
Today (August 4, 2020), Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, introduced an innovative new protective wear program for their First and Business Class guests. As part of the carrier’s ‘Etihad Wellness’ health and hygiene program, the innovative and stylish snood style MicrobeBARRIER facemasks have been treated with a broad spectrum antimicrobial treatment, which reduces the presence of germs in fabrics. The long-lasting protective layer allows the environmentally friendly face coverings to be washable and reusable.
The snoods can be worn like a scarf around the neck and then pulled up to cover the mouth and nose where social distancing isn’t possible, in order to protect the user and those around them. The face coverings are made of a comfortable lightweight breathable jersey fabric, which can be easily pulled up or down, making it ideal for travel. As always, the health, safety and wellbeing of Etihad’s guests throughout the entire journey is the top priority of the airline. The new MicrobeBARRIER treated snood is just one of many initiatives the carrier has introduced to ensure a healthier and cleaner environment.
