Etihad Airways Inaugurates New Service Between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar

Etihad Airways has inaugurated new service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar in Pakistan. The route will now operate five times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On Monday (September 29, 2025), Etihad Airways announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar, Pakistan (PEW), expanding their network to 83 global destinations. The route will now operate five times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Peshawar is the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and renowned for its rich history, cultural heritage, and role as a gateway to trade and tourism. Peshawar becomes Etihad’s fourth nonstop destination in Pakistan, complementing existing service to Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
In Monday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, said,
“The launch of Peshawar reflects Etihad’s commitment to building a robust global network. With Pakistan being home to one of the largest expatriate communities in the UAE, we are pleased to launch this new route offering more flexibility for the community’s travel needs. With this new service, we are going beyond connecting families and friends, we are also welcoming more visitors from Pakistan to discover Abu Dhabi as a vibrant global business and tourism destination.”

Initially, Etihad will operate five weekly flights to Peshawar, increasing to daily service from November 20, 2025. The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 featuring eight Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats.
In the coming weeks, Etihad will also launch inaugural flights to the island of Sumatra (Medan) in Indonesia, Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), and Krabi (Thailand). In early November, the carrier will also touch down for the first time in new destinations across Asia and North Africa including Tunis (Tunisia), Hanoi (Vietnam), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Hong Kong, Algiers (Algeria), and Medina (Saudi Arabia).
