Etihad Airways Celebrates Inaugural Flight Between Abu Dhabi and Boston

Etihad Airways’ inaugural flight between Abu Dhabi and Boston touched down in Boston on Sunday, March 31, 2024.  Boston is now the carrier’s fourth U.S. destination, joining Chicago, New York and Washington, along with Toronto, Canada.

On Monday (April 1, 2024), Etihad announced the launch of new nonstop service between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Boston (BOS), with the inaugural flight touching down at Boston Logan International Airport on Sunday, March 31, 2024.  The route will now operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring 28 Business Class and 262 Economy Class seats.  Boston becomes Etihad’s fourth U.S. destination, joining Chicago, New York and Washington.  The carrier also offers service between Abu Dhabi and Toronto in Canada.  Inbound customers to Abu Dhabi can also enjoy seamless one-stop connectivity via Etihad Airways’ extensive network across the Middle East and India.


Speaking in Monday’s announcement, Etihad’s Chief Executive Officer, Antonoaldo Neves, said,


“We are thrilled to inaugurate flights to Boston, further extending our reach across the United States and enhancing connectivity for travellers.  This new route not only brings the allure of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the American Northeast but also signifies our commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences and fostering global connections.  The new route is timed to offer convenient links to our growing network for corporate business travellers and leisure guests connecting to destinations across the Middle East and our 11 routes across India.”


Also commenting on the new Boston service, Massport’s Interim CEO and Aviation Director, Ed Freni, added,


“Massport is pleased to welcome Etihad Airways to Boston Logan International Airport with their new flight to Abu Dhabi.  This route provides a key connection between Boston and the UAE, and New Englanders now have even more options when planning a trip to the Middle East and beyond.”


Etihad Airways’ inbound guests to Boston can also enjoy seamless one-stop connections to numerous cities throughout North America thanks to the carrier’s partnership with JetBlue Airways.
