Ethiopian Airlines has today announced the launch of new nonstop service between Addis Ababa and Dhaka in Bangladesh starting November 1st, 2024. The route will operate six times weekly with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
On Friday (August 30, 2024), Ethiopian Airlines announced the launch of new nonstop service between Addis Ababa and Dhaka, Bangladesh. From November 1st, 2024, the route will operate six times weekly with a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. With the added Dhaka service, Ethiopian expands their presence in South Asia, providing seamless connectivity from Bangladesh to top destinations across Africa and beyond.
In Friday’s route announcement, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said,
“Bangladesh is a dynamic and growing market, and we are confident that our modern fleet and exceptional service will meet the needs of travelers between our two regions. By deploying our state-of-the-art aircraft on this route, we are not only offering our passengers the comfort they deserve but also fostering stronger ties between Africa and Asia. Our new service to Dhaka is a testament to Ethiopian Airlines’ enduring vision of expanding horizons and creating bridges across continents.”
In addition to the new Dhaka service, Ethiopian Airlines’ South Asia network currently includes service to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Karachi. The carrier has already been providing cargo and logistics service to the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Inbound customers from Bangladesh to Addis Ababa will also enjoy convenient one-stop connectivity to nearly 140 destinations across Ethiopian’s global network.
