Ethiopian Airlines Partners With Bucher Aircraft Interior Solutions for Boeing 777-9 Galleys

During the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Ethiopian Airlines signed a strategic agreement with Bucher Aircraft Interior Solutions for the provision of cutting-edge galleys for their new Boeing 777-9s.

On Wednesday (April 16, 2025), Ethiopian Airlines announced the signing of a new strategic agreement with Bucher Aircraft Interior Solutions. Under the agreement, which was signed at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Bucher will provision cutting-edge galleys for the carrier’s new Boeing 777-9s. The advanced lightweight galleys will optimize space and functionality, thereby enhancing the onboard experience with a more efficient experience for both passengers and cabin crew.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said,
“Collaborating with Bucher to outfit our new 777-9 fleet demonstrates our commitment to passenger comfort and innovation. As a strategically vital airline for our country, we continually seek partners who align with our vision for expansive growth and enhanced service quality.”
Also commenting on the agreement, Bucher’s CEO, Beat Burlet, added,
“We are delighted to partner with Ethiopian Airlines in this significant project. Our team is committed to delivering bespoke Galleys that meet the expansive needs of this strategically important airline.”
