Ethiopian Airlines launched new service to Freetown, Sierra Leone via Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on Friday, May 31, 2024. The route will now operate three times per week with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
On Friday (May 31, 2024), Ethiopian Airlines announced the launch of new service to Freetown, Sierra Leone, via Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The route will now operate thrice weekly with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner featuring spacious seats, personal IFE screens, and onboard Wi-Fi. Flight ET943 (Addis Ababa-Ouagadougou-Freetown) will operate in Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while ET942 (Freetown-Ouagadougou-Addis Ababa) will operate of Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In Friday’s announcement, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said,

As we take to the skies, we are proud to be part of the journey that will connect Freetown to the world, and we look forward to welcoming passengers from around the globe to this incredible destination. This new service will not only enhance connectivity for business and leisure travelers but also contribute to the economic growth of both Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso.”
