Ethiopian Airlines Launches New Route Between Addis Ababa and Hyderabad

Ethiopian Airlines has today announced the launch of new thrice weekly service between Addis Ababa and Hyderabad in India, with the inaugural service taking flight on Monday, June 16th.

On Tuesday (June 17, 2025), Ethiopian Airlines announced the launch of new service between Addis Ababa (ADD) and Hyderabad, India (HYD).  The inaugural flight departed on Monday June 16th, and the route will now operate three times weekly.  The occasion was marked with a vibrant ceremony at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, attended by senior government officials, ambassadors, distinguished guests, and members of the aviation community.  Ethiopian flight ET 682 will depart Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the return flight, ET 683, will takeoff from Hyderabad on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.


Speaking at Monday’s inaugural ceremony, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said,


We are pleased to commence this new passenger service to Hyderabad, the sixth destination Ethiopian operates in India.  We believe that beyond providing air transportation

service, this new flight will play a pivotal role in strengthening trade and tourism ties between the two regions.
