Emirates will reopen year-round connectivity between Europe and the U.S. from June 1, 2021 with the resumption of service between Milan-Malpensa and New York-JFK. The flight will be an extension of the carrier’s existing flights to Milan.
On Wednesday (March 31, 2021), Emirates announced the reopening of year-round connectivity between Europe and the U.S. with the resumption of flights between Milan-Malpensa and New York-JFK. The service will be an extension of the carriers existing service to Milan (EK205) and the flights will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER, configured with eight First Class seats, 42 Business Class lie-flat seats and 304 comfortable, ergonomically-designed Economy seats. The new route will increase Emirates’ service to and from JFK to three times daily.
Emirates flight EK205 will depart Dubai at 09:45 and arrive in Milan at 14:20. The flight then departs Milan at 16:10 and arrives at New York-JFK at 19:00 the same day. The return flight (EK206) departs JFK at 22:20 and arrives in Milan at 12:15 the next day. EK206 departs Milan at 14:05 and arrives in Dubai at 22:10 (all times local). Emirates has recently reaffirmed their commitment to the U.S. market with the resumption of service to 11 gateways including Orlando and Newark from June 2021. The resumed Dubai-Milan-JFK route will provide seamless U.S. connectivity for guests traveling from Europe, the Middle East, West Asia and Africa via Emirates’ codeshare agreement with JetBlue.
Emirates’ guests requiring a COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure from Dubai can receive special pricing at clinics across Dubai by presenting their ticket or boarding pass. Home testing is also available, with results in 48 hours.
