Emirates to Deploy Newest Airbus A380 Configured With Premium Economy on Dubai-London Route

Starting January 4, 2021, the airline will deploy their newest Airbus A380 featuring new premium economy seats and luxurious enhancements across all cabins to London-Heathrow.

On Sunday (January 3, 2021), Emirates announced that they will deploy their newly delivered Airbus A380 to London-Heathrow starting January 4, 2021. The flights will operate as EK003/004 and will depart Dubai at 14:30 and arrive in London at 18:20. The return flight departs London at 20:20 and arrives in Dubai at 07:20 the next morning (all times local). Emirates latest A380 features a new Premium Economy Class seats with a generous pitch of up to 40 inches and luxurious enhancements across all cabins. New Economy Class seats have also been added which are similar to those installed on the carrier’s latest Boeing 777-300ER gamechanger aircraft. The aircraft also features enhancements to their popular A380 First and Business Class cabins, the Signature SPA and Onboard Lounge, with a refreshed color palette and luxurious fittings.


Emirates will offer Premium Economy seats as ‘spot upgrades’ for valued guests on a discretionary basis until more seats enter the carrier’s inventory. All other Signature Emirates A380 First, Business and Economy cabins are available for reservation on the airline’s website or via travel agents. Emirates currently offers five daily flights to London-Heathrow, four of which are operated with one of the carrier’s flagship A380s, as well as 10 weekly flights to Manchester and daily flights to Birmingham and Glasgow. The airline currently offers service to 99 destinations with convenient access to Dubai and seamless onward connections to popular destinations in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.


Emirates guests purchasing tickets for travel on or before June 30, 2021 will enjoy generous rebooking terms and options if their plans change due to unexpected COVID-19 related flight or travel restrictions, including the ability to change travel dates or extend ticket validity for up to two years. The carrier has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the guest journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of their guests and team members. Emirates also distributes complimentary hygiene kits which include masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes.

Additionally, Emirates has launched an industry-first multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover, allowing customers to travel with confidence and greater peace of mind. The complimentary coverage is available on all tickets purchased from December 1st, 2020 through January 31, 2021 and includes COVID-19 medical cover, provisions for personal accidents during travel, winter sports cover, loss of personal belongings and trip disruptions. Emirates’ guests requiring a COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure from Dubai can receive special pricing at clinics across Dubai by presenting their ticket or boarding pass. Home testing is also available, with results in 48 hours.
