On Thursday (July 9, 2026), Emirates announced the introduction of their flagship Airbus A380 to Delhi, India starting October 25, 2026, marking third gateway in the country to be served by Emirates iconic double-decker.  The A380 will operate on flights EK512/513 in a four-class configuration, complementing the deployment of retrofitted B777 aircraft, also in a four-class layout featuring Premium Economy, across three other daily flights.  From October Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin will be offered on flights to six Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi, giving customers traveling to and from India greater choice when planning their travel.

In Thursday’s announcement, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, said,

“Emirates’ long-standing commitment to India is reflected in the continued rollout of our latest products, designed to enhance the travel experience.  We are pleased to introduce our highly anticipated A380 services to Delhi, a vital gateway in our network, from October. Given the strong demand for travel to and from India, it is an honour to expand our A380 footprint in the country, with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as our third A380 destination.  We would like to thank the authorities for making this possible and value our continued partnership.

“We are also making our Premium Economy product more widely available across India to reach six gateways and close to half of our scheduled weekly flights.  A host of other service enhancements are in the pipeline as a testament to our partnership with India and commitment to our customers.”

As part of their ongoing commitment to India, Emirates is rolling out a series of enhancements to elevate the guest experience on the ground and in the air.  The carrier recently opened retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, where customers can explore their innovative products and services with personalized support from highly trained staff.  Stores in Hyderabad and Bengaluru are set to follow, along with a dedicated call center in Mumbai.

Onboard, customers across Emirates’ nine Indian gateways can savor regionally inspired menus crafted by award-winning chefs, celebrating the rich diversity of Indian cuisine, while catering to a range of palates and dietary preferences.  Additionally, cabin crew on Indian routes speak a host of languages, including Hindi and select regional languages, while the airline’s inflight entertainment (IFE) system offers over 6,500 channels featuring Bollywood blockbusters in Hindi as well as content in Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada and more.
