Emirates Rolls Out Popular Premium Economy Product to 10 Additional Cities

Emirates has today announced that they will deploy their popular Premium Economy product to ten new cities, and will also add additional daily A350 service to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town.

On Thursday (January 8, 2026), Emirates announced that they will continue rolling out their retrofitted Boeing 777 and new A350 aircraft to key destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia, bringing Premium Economy and the latest onboard products to more cities across their network. The airline will deploy Airbus A350s on new daily services to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town, adding an extra frequency and offering customers greater connectivity, as well as an elevated onboard experience. The additional frequencies will complement existing schedules and provide extra capacity to meet the anticipated surge in summer travel demand. By July 1, 2026, Emirates will deploy their Premium Economy retrofitted A380, Boeing 777 and A350 aircraft with the latest cabin interiors on over 84 routes.
Starting June 1, 2026, a second daily service will be introduced between Dubai and Copenhagen, and a third daily service between Dubai and Phuket. A third daily service to/from Cape Town will come into effect on July 1, 2026. All three services will be operated with the airline’s latest A350 aircraft, featuring its award-winning Premium Economy, in addition to the latest Business and Economy Class cabins.
Starting June 1, 2026, flight EK153 will depart Dubai at 14:50, arriving in Copenhagen at 19:45. The return flight, EK154, will depart Copenhagen at 21:35, arriving in Dubai at 5:55+1. The new service has been timed to provide seamless connections from Copenhagen to popular destinations via Dubai, to East Asia including, Bangkok, Bali, Manila, Tokyo Haneda and Phuket as well as convenient links to Colombo and Male. Additionally, the service introduces new connections to key African cities such as Nairobi and Entebbe. Guests from traveling from key global cities such as Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Delhi and Bangalore will also benefit from the additional frequency to the Danish capital, with convenient onward connection times via Dubai.
From July 1st, flight EK390 will depart Dubai at 22:40hrs, arriving in Phuket at 08:10+1. The return flight, EK391, will depart Phuket at 10:00, arriving in Dubai at 13:05. Travelers will benefit from additional travel options to the popular resort destinations, which offers an early morning arrival ideal for those connecting from Europe including Manchester, Amsterdam, London, Paris and Frankfurt as well as Kuwait and Bahrain via Dubai. The new flight will also provide convenient onward connection times from Phuket to key gateways across Europe and the Middle East, including Madrid, Munich, Birmingham, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Edinburgh, Zurich and Amman.
Also starting July 1, 2026, flight EK778 will depart Dubai at 10:25, arriving in Cape Town at 18:05, while the return flight, EK779, will depart Cape Town at 20:00 and arrive in Dubai at 07:25+1. The third frequency offers travel options with optimized connections from/to London, Dublin, Mumbai, Brussels, Australasia and key Asian markets, serving both leisure and corporate travel demand. Emirates will also operate an A350 to Rome from March 29th, and to Taipei starting May 1, 2026.
Service to Barcelona and Mexico City will operate as flight EK187/188 with a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from February 1, 2026. Flight EK255/256, the linked service between Barcelona and Mexico City, will operate with a Premium Economy retrofitted three class Boeing 777-200LR daily from February 15, 2026. Daily service to Rome (EK099/100) will operate with an A350 from March 29th, while a second daily service to Copenhagen will operate with an A350 from June 1st as flight EK153/154.
Starting January 29, 2026, Two of the seven weekly services between Dubai and Cochin will operate as flight EK530/531 with a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR. Daily service to Karachi will start om March 1st with a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR as flight EK606/607. Emirates will also operate daily service to Taipei with a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR as flight EK386/387 from March 15th through April 30th, and from May 1st with an Airbus A350. Additionally, a third daily service between Dubai and Phuket (EK390/391) will launch on July 1st, 2026.
From March 29th, daily flights to Brisbane (EK430/431) will operate with a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER, joining the A380 retrofitted service introduced last year. Starting March 1st, 2026 service between Dubai and Addis Ababa will operate with a retrofitted 3-class Boeing 777-200LR as flight EK723/724. A third daily service between Dubai and Cape Town will operate with an A350 from July 1, 2026.
The Thursday service to Basra on (EK947/948) will transition to a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER from January 29th. The daily service between Dubai and Kuwait City (EK859/860) will operate with a retrofitted Boeing 777 from February 1st through April 30th, and then with an A350 from May 1, 2026. Starting March 29, 2026, daily service between Dubai and Tehran (EK979/980) will operate with a retrofitted B777 in a four-class configuration.
