On Monday (May 6, 2024), Emirates announced the first nine destinations in their A350 network, with first aircraft entering the carrier’s fleet in September 2024, and a total of 10 expected by March 31, 2025.  The first 10 A350s will feature three cabins, including 32 next generation Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy, and 259 generously pitched Economy Class seats.  These new aircraft will be deployed on short and medium-haul routes, with Bahrain to be the inaugural destination.  Guests traveling onboard Emirates’ new state-of-the-art A350s will enjoy a spacious and quiet cabin with large overhead bins and custom mood lighting designed to reduce fatigue and jetlag.  Currently, Emirates has 65 Airbus A350-900s on order.

In Monday’s announcement, Emirates Airline’s Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, said,

“The A350 will be a game-changer for Emirates, enabling us to serve regional points with superior operating efficiency and flexibility across the Middle East and GCC, West Asia and Europe.  With the latest generation cabin products including more of our sought-after Premium Economy to more cities, top-notch in-flight entertainment technologies and an abundance of other customer-friendly features, the Emirates A350 builds on our long-standing commitment of investing in the very best customer experience in the sky.  Flying the A350 to 9 cities in such a short span of time adds more premium cabin options and choice across geographies for our customers, and ensures we maintain our competitive edge and industry leading position.”

Emirates will operate daily A350 service to Bahrain from September 15th, increasing to double-daily service from November 1st, 2024, while daily service to Kuwait will commence on September 16th.  Starting December 1st, the carrier will also launch daily A350 service to Muscat.  Additionally, Emirates will begin A350 service to Mumbai from October 27th, with daily service to Ahmedabad launching the same day.  The airline’s fourth daily service to Colombo will also launch on January 1st, 2025 wit an A350.  In Emirates’ European network, Lyon will be served daily with an A350 from December 1st, with Bologna service also starting December 1st.  Service to Edinburgh will also resume on November 4, 2024, and the route will be served with an Airbus A350.
