On Tuesday (November 24, 2020), Emirates announced the relaunch of their Dubai Connect offer which provides a complimentary hotel stay for customers transiting through Dubai with a connection time of over 10 hours. The program ensures a seamless guest journey, even if flight schedules are altered due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to a complimentary stay at a four or five star hotel in Dubai, the Dubai Connect program includes ground transfers, meals at the hotel and a UAE visa upon arrival, if required. When a guest’s best connection time is between 10 and 24 hours, Dubai Connect provides a convenient and comfortable experience.

Emirates currently serves over 90 destinations on six continents, connecting customers to key gateways across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australasia via Dubai. Customers who qualify for Dubai Connect but are unable to leave the airport will receive access to Emirates Dubai Connect airport lounge to work, relax or unwind. Customers booked in all classes with new or existing reservations from December 1st, 2020 are eligible for the offer.

Dubai is one of the most popular global destinations, welcoming 16.7 million visitors in 2019. From sun-soaked beaches to heritage activities and world-class hospitality and leisure facilities, Dubai has something to offer for all guests. Additionally, Dubai was one of the world’s first cities to receive the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) for their effective measures to ensure the health and safety of visitors.

Emirates guests purchasing tickets for travel on or before March 31, 2021 will enjoy generous rebooking terms and options if their plans change due to unexpected COVID-19 related flight or travel restrictions, including the ability to change travel dates or extend ticket validity for up to two years. The carrier has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the guest journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of their guests and team members. Emirates also distributes complimentary hygiene kits which include masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes.

Earlier this week, Emirates announced an industry-first multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover, allowing customers to travel with confidence and greater peace of mind. The complimentary coverage is available on all tickets purchased from December 1st, 2020. Details of the comprehensive coverage are available here.
