On Tuesday (May 23, 2023), Emirates announced the addition of Chandon Vintage Brut to their Elevated Premium Economy experience. With "youthful and vibrant flavors and subtle complexity", the vintage sparkling wine is the product of Chandon Australia, located in the pristine Strathbogie and King Valley vineyards in Australia’s Victorian Mountains. The grapes are grown in rich loamy soils and flourish in the region’s mild summer weather, before being crafted into wine with precision by experienced winemakers. The result is an outstanding sparkling wine effervescent with freshness and energy, with six years of lees age adding a touch of refinement.

The latest edition to Emirates’ Premium Economy beverage selection comes as the carrier brings the elevated travel experience to more destinations, including New York-JFK, San Francisco, London Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch and Melbourne. Emirates’ Premium Economy also offers guests luxurious seats, generous legroom, a sophisticated cabin design a world-class inflight entertainment (IFE) experience. Additionally, Premium Economy guests enjoy an elevated food and beverage experience, including Chandon Vintage Brut 2016 sparkling wine from Australia, a global exclusive.

Described as deliciously soft, fresh and creamy, Chandon Vintage Brut 2016 is a blend of 50 percent Pinot Noir, 45 percent Chardonnay and 5.0 percent Meunier. The Chardonnay grapes highlight the lime and green apple aromas, while the Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes accentuate pomegranate and pink grapefruit. Thanks to a slightly younger yeast, the sparkling wine delivers spritely freshness and white flower aromas. On the palate, guests will enjoy lime and green apple notes, while hazelnut praline, biscuit and fresh dough add extra body. Chandon Vintage Brut is the first sparkling wine ever made at Chandon Australia since its foundation in 1986.
