Embraer Reports Second Quarter Net Loss of $31.7 Million or $0.17 per Basic ADS Share

Embraer has reported a second quarter net loss of $31.7 million or ($0.1726) per basic ADS share on 9.9 percent year-over-year revenue decline to $1.02 billion. At June 30, 2022, the company had an order backlog valued at $17.8 billion.

On Thursday (August 4, 2022) Embraer reported their second quarter financial results for the period ending June 30, 2022. The company reported a second quarter net loss of $31.7 million or ($0.1726) per basic ADS share. Embraer’s second quarter revenue declined year-over-year by 9.9 percent to $1.02 billion. The company’s second quarter adjusted net income was $39.4 million or $0.40 per basic ADS share. At June 30, 2022, Embraer had an order backlog valued at $17.8 billion, the highest quarterly post-pandemic backlog, total liquidity of $1.96 billion, and total net debt of $1.198 billion, down $255 million from the end of Q1 2022. Commercial Aviation reported a year-over-year revenue decline to $299.9 million on lower second quarter deliveries, while Executive Aviation revenues increased 0.2 percent to $266.7 million.


During the second quarter, Embraer delivered 11 commercial jets including eight Embraer E175s to SkyWest, three E195-E2s to Aircastle and ICBC. Executive Aviation delivered 21 aircraft in Q2, including 12 light and 9 mid-size jets. Additionally, during the quarter Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) was announced as the launch lessor for the E-Jets Freighter, after signing a Letter-of-Intent (LOI) for up to 10 Passenger-to-Freight (P2F) conversions. Another undisclosed customer also signed a firm order for up to 10 P2F conversions. The second quarter also included a successful test between Embraer and Pratt & Whitney of a GTF-powered E195-E2 on 100 percent SAF.
