Starting February 2, 2024, Edelweiss will launch new service from Zurich to Ivalo and Kuusamo in Finland. The routes to both destinations will be operated once weekly on Fridays through March 22, 2024.
On Thursday (August 23, 2023), Edelweiss announced an expansion of their short and medium-haul network with the addition of two new winter holiday destinations in Finland. Starting February 2, 2024, the carrier will offer flights from Zurich to both Ivalo and Kuusamo once weekly on Fridays. Both destinations are ideal for a fairytale winter experience with activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile safaris, sled dog excursions and Northern Lights tours. The winter seasonal routes will be operated through March 22, 2024
After Kittilä and Rovaniemi, Ivalo is the third most important tourist destination in the Northern Lapland. The region with the Saariselkä winter sports area is especially popular with cross-country skiers, offering 230 km of trails.
