Starting June 1, 2026, Edelweiss will launch new seasonal direct service between Zurich and Windhoek, Namibia. The route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with an Airbus A350-900 through October 2026.

On Wednesday (July 2, 2025), Edelweiss announced the launch of new seasonal nonstop service between Zurich and Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Starting June 1, 2026, the route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with a state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 through October 2026. The new connection to Windhoek is now available for booking, expanding Edelweiss’ long-haul offering in southern Africa to four destinations, including Cape Town (South Africa) and Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar (Tanzania).
