Edelweiss will expand their winter 2024/25 schedule to the Finnish Lapland with service to Kuusamo and Ivalo from mid-December through March. The carrier will also launch new scheduled flights to Kittilä and Rovaniemi, and extend service to Evenes/Lofoten for winter.
On Tuesday (May 7, 2024), Edelweiss announced an expansion of their winter 2024/25 schedule with new and extended services. In the Finnish Lapland, the carrier will serve Kuusamo and Ivalo from mid-December 2024 through the beginning and end of March 2025, respectively. Flights to Kuusamo will operate on Fridays, while Ivalo flights will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. For the first time, Edelweiss will also offer scheduled flights to Kittilä and Rovaniemi, with service to both destinations twice weekly from mid-December through the end of March. Flights to Kittilä will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays, while flights to Rovaniemi will operate on Mondays and Thursdays. Additionally, Edelweiss will continue to offer charter service to Kittilä and Rovaniemi on Saturdays on behalf of Kontiki Reisen.
Flights to Evenes in Norway will now also be extended into the winter timetable, with Saturday flights from mid-December through the end of March. Evenes is an ideal starting point for the exploration of the majestic island paradise of Lofoten, an archipelago with over 80 islands. Also in the region is the town of Narvik, which serves as a convenient starting point for travel to the north and the Vesterålen islands. Edelweiss will offer service to six destinations in northern Scandinavia for winter 2024/25 including Evenes/Lofoten, Tromsø, Kittilä, Rovaniemi, Ivalo and Kuusamo. The new flights are bookable from May 9, 2024, and can also be combined as part of a roundtrip.
