On Wednesday (April 26, 2023), Edelweiss published details of their upcoming winter 2023/24 flying program, which will include 20 long-haul destinations in 15 countries. The schedule will focus on an expansion of service to popular destinations in North America, Thailand and South Africa, as well as all-new service to Bogotá and Cartagena in Colombia. This year, Edelweiss will continue to serve Las Vegas through November, accommodating guests traveling to the Formula 1 event, which will return to the Las Vegas strip for the first time in over 40 years. Edelweiss is the official airline partner of the ‘Alfa Romer F1 Team Stake.’ During winter, the carrier will also offer twice weekly service to sunny Tampa Bay, Florida.

Service to popular Caribbean destinations will be unchanged from last year with three weekly flights from Zurich to Cancún, one weekly flight to Havana, and two weekly flights to Punta Cana. Puerto Plata will also be served once weekly in combination with Montego Bay, Jamaica. Flights to San José, Costa Rica will operate three times weekly, including two weekly connections in combination with Liberia/Guanacaste. Edelweiss will also add one additional weekly flight to Cape Town, with service starting at the end of August, increasing their offer to the metropolis on the Cape of Good Hope to four times weekly. Kilimanjaro will also be served twice weekly in combination with Zanzibar. Service to Phuket will be increased by one weekly flight, for a total of three weekly flights from the beginning of October 2023.

Holiday destinations such as Muscat in Oman, Mauritius and the Seychelles will remain a fixed part of the Edelweiss winter schedule. The Maldives will be served three times weekly from Zurich, including once a week in connection with Colombo in Sri Lanka. New additions in the carrier’s short and medium-haul network for winter 2023/24 will be announced in the coming weeks.
