easyJet to Launch New Service Between London Southend to Reus, Almeria and Malta

For summer 2025, easyJet will launch new service between London Southend and Reus, Almeria and Malta.  These routes and seven others are currently on sale, including flights to Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Enfidha, Marrakech, Dalaman, Antalya and Pisa.

On Friday (August 23, 2024), easyJet announced the launch of new service from London Southend to Reus and Almeria in Spain, as well as the popular Mediterranean island on Malta from March 2025.  Previously, the carrier announced the opening of a three aircraft base at London Southend Airport, along with seven new package holiday destinations, including Gran Canaria and Tenerife (Canary Islands), Dalaman and Antalya (Turkey), Enfidha (Tunisia), Marrakech (Morocco) and Pisa (Italy).  Both flight-only and easyJet Holidays packages are both now available for booking, with the first flights set for departure on March 30, 2025.  With the added routes, easyJet expands their offer from London Southend to 17 beach, city and ski destinations.


In Friday’s announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,

“We have flown over seven million customers from London Southend since we started our operation there in 2012 and, whether they are flying for business or leisure, we look forward to welcoming even more of them onboard.”


Also commenting on easyJet’s network expansion, London Southend Airport’s Acting CEO, Marc Taylor, added,
