easyJet to Launch New Service Between London Luton and Cairo From October 31, 2023

Starting October 31, 2023, easyJet will launch first-ever service between London Luton and Cairo. The route will operate year-round three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

On Tuesday (August 22, 2023), easyJet announced the launch of new service between London Luton (LTN) and Cairo, Egypt (CAI) starting October 31, 2023. The new route will operate year-round three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This will be the first time easyJet will serve Cairo, one of the largest and most iconic cities in North Africa. Cairo also becomes the airline’s 157th destination on their extensive short-haul network across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Cairo joins current beach favorites in easyJet’s Egyptian network including Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada.


In Tuesday’s route announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,


“We are delighted to be launching flights for the very first time to Cairo which further strengthens our unrivalled short-haul network from the UK and this continues to demonstrate our confidence in the resilient strength of demand for travel from the UK. The new route from London Luton to this iconic destination further expands the choice we are offering our customers, provides greater connectivity to the city to support inbound tourism and business travel alike.”


Also commenting on the launch of new Cairo service, London Luton Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Jonathan Rayner, said,


“We are delighted that easyJet has chosen London Luton Airport to launch its flights to Cairo. As the Egyptian capital, Cairo is home to some truly iconic landmarks and is sure to be a destination of choice for passengers travelling from LLA.
