easyJet Celebrates New Service From Southampton to Belfast International and Glasgow

easyJet has launched two new routes from Southampton, with the inaugural flight to Belfast International Airport taking flight on Sunday, October 29th, and to Glasgow on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

On Friday (November 3, 2023), easyJet announced the launch of new year-round service from Southampton to Belfast International Airport and Glasgow. The inaugural flight to Belfast took flight on Sunday, October 29th, and the route will now operate three times weekly on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. The inaugural Southampton-Glasgow flight departed on Thursday, November 2nd, and the route will now operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays. Celebrating the new routes, tickets are now bookable on the airline’s website with one-way fares from £22.50 per person.


In Friday’s announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,


“We are delighted to have launched our new services from Southampton to Belfast International and Glasgow, which will provide our customers in the South of England with direct and convenient departures to Northern Ireland and Scotland, making it easier for people to visit more of the fantastic destinations the UK has to offer for leisure or business.”


Also commenting on the new routes, Southampton Airport’s Operations Director, Mark Beveridge, added,


“We are really pleased to welcome easyJet’s first services to Glasgow and Belfast International. Following the recent completion of the runway extension, we are working hard and speaking regularly with our airline partners to deliver the routes and services the people of Southampton and the wider region deserve.”
