On Wednesday (January 28, 2026), Condor announced the launch of new daily direct service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Cairo (CAI) starting May 2026.  The new route will be operated with an Airbus A320.  Guests will enjoy comfortable travel with ergonomic seats, a flexible fare concept, and a variety of additional services. Flights will be available for booking starting this week on the Condor website, by phone, and at all travel agencies.  Cairo is one of the most dynamic urban centers in North Africa, attracting millions of visitors every year.  From the recently opened Grand Egyptian Museum to the iconic Pyramids of Giza or as a starting point for Nile cruises to the Valley of the Kings, Cairo serves as an ideal holiday destination.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Peter Gerber, said,

“Cairo is a fascinating destination with great economic and cultural importance.  With the new daily connection, we are deliberately investing in a market with long-term potential while further strengthening our position in business, leisure, and connecting traffic through Frankfurt.”

Founded in 1956, Condor Flugdienst GmbH is Germany’s favorite leisure airline and serves over nine million guests annually to over 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and America from nine German gateways, Zurich and Vienna.  The German leisure carrier has a fleet of over 50 aircraft which are meticulously maintained to the highest safety standards by their wholly owned subsidiary Condor Technik with facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.  Condor was the German launch customer for the state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo, and currently has 43 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft on order.
