Dublin Aerospace Welcomes Applications for 2023 Apprenticeship Program

Dublin Airport-based MRO, Dublin Aerospace, has today opened applications for their greatly anticipated Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship program. In partnership with SOLAS, the company has also opened their inaugural Toolmaking Apprenticeship.

On Tuesday (March 7, 2023) Dublin Aerospace, a Dublin Airport-based MRO, announced the opening of applications for their highly-anticipated 2023 Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship program. In partnership with the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland (SOLAS), the company has also opened applications for their inaugural Toolmaking Apprenticeship program. With a combination of Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeships for MRO training in the Dublin Aerospace Hangars, along with the newly launched Toolmaking Apprenticeship for the Landing Gear, APU and Component Workshop available, candidates have until April 17, 2023 to submit their applications. The apprenticeship programs will start in August 2023.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Dublin Aerospace’s CEO, William Flaherty, said,


“We are delighted to be in a position where our apprenticeship program is highly sought-after by young men and women from all around Ireland. The combined approach of classroom and hands-on training is what makes this program such a success. We are also very pleased to be expanding our current program with the introduction of our Toolmaking Apprenticeship. To date, we have welcomed over 150 apprenticeships through our doors, who have helped shape Dublin Aerospace’s culture as it stands today, playing a key part in our success. We look forward to welcoming this year’s apprentices to our great team here at Dublin Aerospace.”

For 2023, Dublin Aerospace will welcome 25 new apprentices, who will experience a blended approach of classroom and hands-on learning. Those who successfully complete the program will then be considered for full-time positions with Dublin Aerospace. Since the company’s inception, Dublin Aerospace has expanded from a team of just 18 based in Dublin, to a team of over 500 across Dublin, Ashbourne, Belfast and Exeter. Founded in 2009, Dublin Aerospace Group is the parent company of Dublin Aerospace and Exeter Aerospace, and is one of the world’s leading MRO providers, with capabilities in APU Repair & Overhaul, Base Maintenance, IDG Repair & Overhaul, and Landing Gear Repair & Overhaul.
