Dublin Aerospace Group, the MRO based out of Dublin Airport and Exeter Airport, has today announced the appointment of SAS’ Chief Operating Officer Jason Mahoney to their Board of Directors.
On Monday (April 3, 2023), Dublin Aerospace Group announced the appointment of SAS’ Chief Operating Officer Jason Mahoney to their Board of Directors. An aviation industry veteran with 36 years of experience, Mr. Mahoney started his career as an Apprentice Aircraft Engineer with British Airways. He has also held C-suite and Board of Director positions with British Airways and TUI airlines. As a Dublin Aerospace Director, Mahoney will assist the existing Board and Leadership team in developing the company’s overall business strategy, reviewing and agreeing on commercial targets, and playing an active role in the areas of quality, safety and compliance.
In Monday’s announcement, Dublin Aerospace’s Executive Chairman, Conor McCarthy, said,
“We are delighted to welcome Jason to our Board of Directors. As we plan for the months and years ahead, continuing to maintain and execute a robust company-wide strategy is of the utmost importance. Our Board of Directors play key roles in shaping our business and welcoming Jason to the Board is a great new addition.”
Also commenting on his Board appointment, Jason Mahoney added,
“I am thrilled to be joining the Dublin Aerospace Board. Being part of a home-grown Irish company in an industry as fast-paced as the aviation MRO sector is something I am truly excited about. I look forward to helping drive the vision and strategy for the company going forward.”
Mr. Mahoney previously held the position of Chief Technical Officer at British Airways where he was responsible for driving technical engineering and large-scale operational changes worldwide. He has also held other key leadership positions at British Airways, including COO for a number of years. Additionally, Mahoney has been Director of Engineering and Maintenance at TUI. As previously mentioned, he currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at SAS.
Founded in 2009, Dublin Aerospace Group is the parent company of Dublin Aerospace and Exeter Aerospace, and is one of the world’s leading MRO providers with capabilities in APU Repair & Overhaul, Base Maintenance, IDG Repair & Overhaul, and Landing Gear Repair & Overhaul.
