Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has leased two ATR 72-600s to Indian regional startup FLY91. These aircraft are expected to be the first to enter FLY91’s fleet and are scheduled for delivery this year.
On Wednesday (January 17, 2024), Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced the signing of lease agreements for two ATR 72-600s to the new Indian regional carrier FLY91 for delivery later this year. FLY91 aims to enhance connectivity from tier 2 and tier 3 towns across India. The company was founded by airline industry veterans and is backed by professional funding. The carrier’s ATR 72-600 fleet will offer efficient and sustainable operations from most regional airports in India. DAE currently owns and manages a total of 66 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
In Wednesday’s announcement, DAE’s Chief Executive Officer, Firoz Tarapore, said,
“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with FLY91 as their first operating lessor, supporting their vision to enhance regional connectivity in India. We thank FLY91 for their trust in DAE as a partner and look forward to deepening this relationship over time.”
Also commenting on the new lease agreements, FLY91’s CEO, Manoj Chacko, added,

Headquartered in Goa, India, FLY91 (Just Udo Aviation Private Limited) is committed to enhancing last mile air connectivity across India, with plans to connect more than 50 cities over the next five years. The carrier expects to induct 30 aircraft which will be based at multiple hubs across the country.
