Discover Airlines has announced an expansion of their short and medium haul network, and will also launch new twice weekly service to Oulu in Finland for summer 2025.

On Tuesday (April 15, 2025), Discover Airlines announced that they will expand their short and medium haul offer, and will also launch new service to Oulu in Finland for summer 2025. Flights to Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece will also be on offer for the first time in winter, and Marrakesh and Hurghada service will operate daily. From June through September, Discover will add a stopover in Oulu (OUL) to their year-round service from Frankfurt to Kittilä (KTT) in Finland. The seasonal Frankfurt-Oulu-Kittilä service will depart on Mondays and Fridays. For summer 2025, Discover Airlines’ fleet will consist of 30 aircraft, including 16 Airbus A320s on short and medium-haul routes, and 14 Airbus A330s on long-haul routes.
Located in the northwest of the country on the Gulf of Bothnia, Oulu is one of the largest cities in Finland. The region is rich in nature, and an ideal starting point for numerous outdoor activities. Oulu also offers a subarctic climate in the summer with pleasantly cool temperatures, averaging 20°C. In addition to Oulu, Discover’s ‘Nordics’ flight schedule includes Kittilä, Reykjavík, Evenes and Bodø. The carrier is also launching flights to Alta in Norway, with departures from Frankfurt and/or Munich, in some cases year-round.
As previously mentioned, Discover Airlines will offer daily service to Hurghada and Frankfort for winter 2025/26, as well as three weekly flights between Munich and Hurghada, and up to six weekly flights from Munich to Marrakesh. Additionally, service between Munich and Ibiza will be increased to twice weekly next winter. For the first time, flights from Frankfurt to Varna and Dubrovnik will operate in winter with two and three weekly flights, respectively.
