Delta Resumes LAX to Tokyo Haneda Flights, Adds Flights From Honolulu; Increases SEA-Seoul Service

From October 30, 2022, Delta Air Lines will resume service between Los Angeles and Tokyo Haneda with three weekly flights, increasing to daily service from December 1st. The carrier will also start new service from Honolulu and Increase Seattle-Seoul Incheon Service.

On Monday (August 15, 2022), Delta Air Lines announced that they will resume three weekly flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Tokyo Haneda (HND) from October 30th, increasing to daily service from December 1st. The carrier will also launch new daily service between Honolulu and Haneda from December 1st, 2022. The Los Angeles to Haneda route will be operated with an Airbus A330-900neo featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin services. Honolulu-Haneda service will be operated with a Boeing 767-300ER featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin services. Delta Air Lines opened a new Delta Sky Club at Tokyo-Haneda on July 29, 2022.


In Monday’s announcement, Delta’s Managing Director – Japan, Victor Osumi, said,


“As travel restrictions gradually ease in Japan, we decided to restart the service from Los Angeles and Honolulu and increase the frequency of the flights currently operating flights to Haneda. Our commitment to the health and safety of everyone on board always comes first, and customers will enjoy more options to Haneda, with Delta's unparalleled travel experience on the ground and in the air.”

In a separate press release on Tuesday (August 16, 2022), Delta further announced that they will increase service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Seoul-Incheon (ICN) International Airport with three weekly flights. The added service complements the carrier’s existing daily operations and joint Venture partner Korean Air’s five weekly services, increasing the total route frequency to 15 weekly flights. The service from Seattle to Seoul will be operated with an Airbus A330-900neo featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin services.
