Delta Names Eric Phillips as Airline’s First Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer

Delta Air Lines has announced two senior leadership appointments with Eric Phillips becoming the carrier’s first SVP and Chief Digital Officer, and Erik Snell becoming SVP – Airport Customer Service, Cargo Operations, GSE and Global Clean.

On Wednesday (May 25, 2022), Delta Air Lines announced the appointment of Eric Phillips as the airlines first Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer. In the newly created role, Mr. Phillips will lead a team focused on enhancing customer interactions with Delta’s digital tools and channels, including the development of new and better capabilities on Delta.com and on the Fly Delta app. Eric Phillips has been with the airline of 24 years and has held leadership roles in Pricing and Revenue Management. Most recently, he served as Delta’s SVP – Airport Customer Service, Cargo Operations, GSE and Global Clean.

Erik Snell will succeed Eric Phillips as Delta’s SVP – Airport Customer Service, Cargo Operations, GSE and Global Clean, where he will lead the airline’s largest frontline operating team. Mr. Snell has been with Delta for 17 years and has held positions in Finance, ACS, Delta Connection, TechOps, and former subsidiaries Delta Global Services and Delta Private Jets. Since 2018, he has served as SVP – Operations & Customer Center, Operations Analytica, and Delta Connection, where he was responsible for Delta’s global operations.
