Delta Air Lines to Launch New Service to Hawaii From Detroit, New York-JFK and Atlanta

Starting November 19, 2022, Delta Air Lines will be the only carrier to offer daily nonstop flights from Atlanta to Maui, as well as from Detroit to Honolulu. Delta will also begin daily nonstop service between New York-JFK and Honolulu from December 17, 2022.

On Friday (February 18, 2022), Delta Airlines announced three new nonstop routes to Hawaii from Detroit, New York-JFK and Atlanta. Starting November 19, 2022, Delta will be the only airline offering daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Maui, as well as from Detroit to Honolulu. Additionally, from December 17, 2022, the airline will launch daily nonstop flights between New York-JFK and Honolulu. In total, for winter 2021/22, Delta will offer 18 daily nonstop flights to four Hawaiian destinations from seven U.S. gateways. The carrier’s Hawaiian service will include 10 peak-day departures to Honolulu from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York-JFK, Salt Lake City and Seattle, four peak-day departures to Maui from Atlanta, Los Angeles and Seattle, and two peak-day departures to Kona and Lihue from Los Angeles and Seattle.


In Friday’s announcment, Delta Air Lines’ Senior Vice President – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,

All Hawaii flights from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul and New York-JFK will offer Delta One, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options. All Delta customers will have access to in-seat power, a variety of beverages and snacks and seat-back IFE screens featuring a wealth of premium content, including curated playlists from Peloton and Spotify. The carrier also offers complimentary mobile messaging and Wi-Fi available for purchase.
