Delta Air Lines to Launch New Service Between New York JFK and Dubrovnik, Croatia From July 2nd

Delta Air Lines is launching new four-times weekly nonstop service between New York-JFK and Dubrovnik, Croatia starting July 2, 2021. The new service marks the first time Delta will offer nonstop service to Croatia.

On Friday (May 7, 2021), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of new nonstop service between New York (JFK) and Dubrovnik Airport (BDV) in Croatia. The route will be operated four times per week and marks the first time the carrier will offer nonstop service to Croatia. U.S. travelers are welcome to visit Croatia, providing they have a negative PCR test, vaccination, or recent recovery certificate and will not be required to quarantine. Croatia is one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, offering rich history, stunning landscapes and numerous outdoor activities. Delta guests from 44 U.S. cities will enjoy convenient one-stop service to Croatia via JFK.


In Friday’s announcement Delta Air Lines’ SVP – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,


“Customers are at the center of everything we do, including where we fly, and the addition of a new outdoor-friendly destination is another sign of the surge in demand we’re seeing. More countries are easing restrictions for vaccinated travelers, and we’re ready to help reconnect people to their lives and loved ones.”


Also commenting on the new route, Croatia’s Tourist Minister, Nikolina Brnjac, added,

“We are extremely pleased with the decision of Delta Air Lines to establish the NY-Dubrovnik route this summer. Croatia has been open to U.S. tourists since the beginning of April, with proof of vaccination or recovery or a negative PCR or antigen test and booking confirmation. Our national ‘Safe Stay in Croatia’ label ensures the highest epidemiological standards for tourists and we look forward to welcoming back American tourists very soon.”

The JFK-Dubrovnik route will be operated with a 226-seat Boeing 767-300, featuring full lie-flat Delta One beds, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin service, as well as Wi-Fi for purchase and free mobile messaging. In addition to Croatia, Delta is launching new and returning services to Reykjavik, Iceland and Athens, Greece from multiple gateways. Customers will also enjoy more service to outdoor destinations closer to home with 23 daily flights to Alaska and over 70 daily flights to destinations in the Mountain West such as Bozeman, Montana and Jackson, Hole, Wyoming. Additionally, Delta is offering connections to sunny beaches with nearly 90 daily flights to 78 Latin American and Caribbean leisure markets, including weekly service to 39 unique destiantions.
